Have you read the how-to guide for the eee on the wiki 
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_on_the_EeePC?  It has instructions on where 
to pre-download the correct wifi and ethernt drivers from 
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/appleonkel:/EEE/ as well as 
plenty of other hints.
