ATI/AMD & SuSE/Novell this week posted the first prototype of a
DRM module (written and tested on Linux of course) to support
3-D acceleration on the Radeon 4xxx series, and has promised
documentation to follow.    That driver work will need to be
finished and integrated with the Solaris ATI DRM module before this
will help Solaris users - since this news is only a few days old, I
can't even begin to guess if/when someone will decide to tackle this
work for Solaris/OpenSolaris.
