Hello.
Currently it is not possible to access secondary/tertiary/n-th level partitions. Such \
partitions are created by Windows whenever multiple partitions are created under \
Windows.
I think that rewriting/extending the "lofi" driver and the "lofiadm" tool could solve \
the problem. The extended syntax would be:
/usr/sbin/lofiadm -a file|rawdevice [+offset] [lofidevice]
/usr/sbin/lofiadm -d lofidevice
The "+offset" would allow a byte offset into the image file or /dev/rdsk device. \
"rawdevice" would be the name of a "/dev/rdsk" device.
This command would allow to easiely write programs that detect the positions of \
non-standard partition layouts (i.e. Sparc on x86 machines, x86 on Sparc machines, \
secondary partitions, ...) and then create a lofi disk device for each partition \
detected.
