Try auto-typing the LUN in format.

If that does not correct it, then some more info would be helpful..
Like:
sys list
fru list
fru stat
vol list
vol stat
volslice list
lun perm list all

Also run 'format -eM' to run format in expert mode and capture the session.
It should output a good deal of info when you select the LUN and poke around...
