I found the magical command to solve this issue... (Found it by guessing a bit and then doing some trial-and-error).

Doing this on the HSG80 made it appear:

SET THIS_CONTROLLER SCSI = SCSI-3

(It used to be set to SCSI-2). My *guess* is that this enabled the controller
to transmit a unique identification of the RAID volyme so that Solaris
could alloca a "device" node for it...
