We have no specific plans to propose removal of these legacy compatibility 
mechanisms in the near future.

Once the majority of Solaris ISVs, opensource software developers, and
admins who deliver init.d scripts or inetd.conf lines have adopted SMF, 
we can revisit the conversation about an appropriate timeline.  But,
there's a lot more to do to drive adoption first.
