On 6/20/07, Ken Mays <maybird1776@yahoo.com> wrote some stuff...

Ken:
regardless of what the issues with Sun's code are, ultimately it
serves us no good to have promises of code be unfulfilled. We've been
patient for over 6 months now, and that's the reason this project is
in the sad state it is. Patience is the last thing we need at the
moment.

I agree, killing off the PPC port officially is a silly thing to do,
but I am still very much of the opinion that bug tracking and the
project gates need to be moved somewhere community based, and we need
to stop relying on code which may or may not ever manage to sneak it's
way out of sun's firewall when nobody's paying attention too closely.

I think it's quite a bit to early to be thinking about distros... I
imagine it'll get rolled up with indiana or something eventually, but
for now the focus should simply be on getting O/N to work. Once O/N's
ported, the rest is like butter.
