I wanted to provide something of what I'll call a reference model we had hoped to \
have as far as using to build future packages on the PowerPC OpenSolaris kernel.

How far have we really gotten to this level? I built and tested the GCC 4.1.2 \
compilers back in Dec 2006, so we know we could use that compiler of the GCC 3.4.x \
ones to build software on PowerPC - yet we are still looking for the next publically \
released (or private) code drop.
I think this is where some of us are in asking questions about the future and success \
of the PowerPC kernel port.
