bitten tonight by trying to do <p::vatopfn -a <a, where 'p' contained the 
address I wanted to map and 'a' contained the 'struct as'.  Apparently the -a 
argument processing can't handle mdb variables (the error message was 
inscrutable..."kmdb: Couldn't read struct as").

This seems to be because it uses mdb_getopts() to get an MDB_OPT_STR, and then 
mdb_strtoull() to convert to an address, and that latter is not prepared to do 
variable substitutions.

Is this something others would consider a bug?
