I am trying to build the proto area with the latest code.
I have downloaded the code via
hg clone ssh://anon@hg.opensolaris.org/hg/onnv/onnv-gate
I guess I will get the latest code (146) dated...

I'm not sure that just dropping in a matching libkvm will do the trick.
It may; some dcmds may get confused.  I have not tried.

The mechanism we use internally involves having a fully-built proto area
for a build matching your dump (or close enough match).  You can
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to pick up libraries from the proto area,
and use mdb -L to tell it to get debugger modules from the proto
area.
