Howdy,

While investigating the previous issue i sent to the list, I noticed that
Solaris will boot off of a mirror that is in the state "Needs maintenance":

$ metastat
d1: Mirror
     Submirror 0: d11
       State: Needs maintenance
     Pass: 1
     Read option: roundrobin (default)
     Write option: parallel (default)
     Size: 2096640 blocks (1023 MB)

d11: Submirror of d1
     State: Needs maintenance
     Invoke: after replacing "Maintenance" components:
                 metareplace d1 c0t0d0s1 <new device>
     Size: 2096640 blocks (1023 MB)
     Stripe 0:
Device Start Block Dbase State Reloc Hot Spare
c0t0d0s1 0 No Last Erred Yes

d0: Mirror
     Submirror 0: d10
       State: Needs maintenance
     Pass: 1
     Read option: roundrobin (default)
     Write option: parallel (default)
     Size: 36962352 blocks (17 GB)

d10: Submirror of d0
     State: Needs maintenance
     Invoke: after replacing "Maintenance" components:
                 metareplace d0 c0t0d0s0 <new device>
     Size: 36962352 blocks (17 GB)
     Stripe 0:
Device Start Block Dbase State Reloc Hot Spare
c0t0d0s0 0 No Last Erred Yes

$ df -h

objfs 0K 0K 0K 0% /system/object
fd 0K 0K 0K 0% /dev/fd
swap 1.3G 8K 1.3G 1% /tmp
swap 1.3G 40K 1.3G 1% /var/run

Is this normal? I would have thought that md would stop at single user
mode if the volume wasn't "Okay" when it attempted to bring it online?

Thanks,
- Ryan
