Hi Mark, 

   /etc/driver_aliases   already contains the entry 
  heci "pci8086,2984"

when I add  the line  

  heci "pci8086,2a44"

to /etc/driver  aliases  ,  modinfo shows that the heci driver loads  and the  
the device driver GUI utility  also shows that the MEI controller is recognised 

   However the  AMT SOL redirection device" 2a47 " is ofcourse still  UNKOWN. 

Does OpenSolaris  have a driver for that Device ?
