Lacking the text installer, another alternative would be
the Bootable AI media:

http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/download/Project+caiman/Bootable_AI_Image/bootable.ai.spec.txt

I can provide media if you'd like to try (available internally
only until the project integrates).
