Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the details, forwarding to install-discuss for help.

<snip>
I got the Solaris 10 Operating System and Sun
Developer Tools: from the sun.com website. After the installation of
the OS on an Intel system, which seemed to work perfectly, the loader
reboots the system. When the system comes back up, it ask for the disk
containing the "Software 5" files. You have the option to continue or
skip. If you continue, it tries to look at the CDRom. If you skip, it
asks you to reboot the system and after rebooting goes right back to the
"Software 5" screen. I hope you understand what I am talking about and
thanks for your help.

Hi Glenn,

Can you give some more information please, are you getting this message
when you try to install from the starter kit 'i install' disc or 'disc2'

of starter kit? You said Slaris 10, so maybe you have a media kit other
than the OpenSolaris starter kit? Let us know a bit more about what you
are trying to do (x86 install?) and we can get you to some help.

Thanks,
Michelle

do not know what it is asking for. It says I can skip the install but
then it just wants to reboot and it comes back to the same place asking
for the software 5 disk. Can anyone help???
