Thanks for assistance.

The Grub entry  'root (hd0,2) was indeed working before my upgrade to 137.

When I specify 'root (hd0,1)', even with chainloader +1, I get 'Invalid 
system disk' error (something similar)

The last 10 characters of /dev/sda2 are not '*SWAP*'
