Thanks for that tip John.

Passes up to:

/usr/X11/bin/glxinfo not installed.

Cannot run compiz starting metacity instead

Aborting with metacity
   Reason : /usr/X11/bin/glxinfo not installed.

Setting /desktop/gnome/session/required_components/windowmanager to metacity
