The GNOME 2.30.2 platform update is being provided through the Blastwave.org mirrors \
mainly for Oracle Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris distros. Some of the core binaries will \
work with Solaris 8/9. The GNOME 2.30.2 build is to provide developers with core \
library support to develop and port current GNOME apps to the OpenSolaris 2009.06 and \
Oracle Solaris 10 operating systems.

The next major update is the release of GNOME 2.32 later this year.

For those wanting KDE, please see the Korona distro which is now at KDE 4.4.5 \
compiled using OSOL snv_134 and Sun Studio 12.
