Is this occurring even on restart of nwam-manager (i.e. after killing it?)

If so, this looks suspiciously like a bad message in the message queue from NWAM
to the UI, and it's not being removed from the queue.

Had you been restarting NWAM Manager (using kill) or similar before it started
running mad? Or possibly there was a core?

I've only ever seen this happen where I was debugging NWAM manager, and
forcefully killing things causing the message queue to not be correctly
maintained - saying that it's been a while since that happened to me.

You could try running the following as root :

# svcadm disable -t nwam
# ipcs -q | grep '^q' | nawk '{print $2}' | xargs -t -n1 ipcrm -q
# svcadm enable nwam

If this is happening easily, maybe you could log a bug with some more information.
