I'm not sure about the "OpenSPARC" version, but if it is the same as the 
Sun T1, then the answer is a resounding "absolutely!"  (AFAIK, the Sun 
version of the T1 is the only real instantiation of the OpenSPARC 
version, but I could be mistaken.)
