Hi all,

After installing solaris 10 U3 (11/06) on a laptop dell latitude d820, the system \
goes into a panic and immediately reboots itself.

Booting the kernel under kmdb (-kdv) and doing a ::msgbuf (it was impossible to see \
the error message other way) I was able to see some ACPI related calls before the \
panic. Unfortunately I don't know how to save this error message in order for me to \
paste it here. There doesn't even seem to be a filesystem available to dump to when \
the panic happens.

The only way I was able to boot the laptop was disabling ACPI: "-B \
acpi-user-options=0x2" under GRUB. I even tried 0x8 and 0x4 with no success.

How can I finally solve this problem? I thought by this time Solaris 10 ACPI was \
robust enough to be installed and used on laptops. Is there any workaround other than \
disabling ACPI? I'd really like to have ACPI functionality on my laptop.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Max
