Hi Ed,

   I am not providing any boot arguments.
   zonecfg info output is as follows

   zonename: lx26
   zonepath: /export/lx26
   brand: lx
   autoboot: false
   bootargs:
   pool:
   limitpriv:
   scheduling-class:
   ip-type: shared
   attr:
        name: kernel-version
        type: string
        value: 2.6

Redhat version is Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4)

When i tried the zoneadm command's as you specified, zoneadm ready is 
success and zoneadm boot is failing with same error.
