Hi all folks,

FreeBSD 5.2
OOo 1.1.0

I have OOo 1.1.0 running.  English editing is working.  Now I need to add 
Traditional Chinese input, but I could not find Chinese fonts on the font 
drop-list.

However
ls -l /usr/ports/graphics/ | grep tiff
drwxr-xr-x  3 root  wheel    512 Mar  3 02:21 kdc2tiff
drwxr-xr-x  2 root  wheel    512 Mar  3 02:21 linux-tiff
drwxr-xr-x  3 root  wheel    512 Mar  3 02:22 tiff
drwxr-xr-x  3 root  wheel    512 Mar  3 02:22 tiff2png

found the font 'tiff' is there.  Is it 'Traditional Chinese' font ?

If YES, shall I make a symbolic link
ln -s /usr/home/user/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/tiff  /usr/ports/graphics/
tiff
to make Chinese fonts appearing on the font drop-list

if NO, where can I download Traditional Chinese fonts.


I suppose 'xcin' is the Chinese input package

# pkg_info | grep xcin   (no printout)
could not find it installed

# cd /usr/ports
# make search name=xcin
Port:   zh-xcin-2.5.3.p2_3
Path:   /usr/ports/chinese/xcin25
.....
found it on FreeBSD website.  I will install it later.

Kindly advise apart from 'tiff' and 'zb-xcin-2.5.3.p2_3' what other packages I 
need to add.

Furthermore, if there are several users, say user-A, user-B, user-C, etc.  
shall make a symbolic link to each of them

ln -s /usr/home/user-A/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/tiff  /usr/ports/graphics/
tiff
ln -s /usr/home/user-B/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/tiff  /usr/ports/graphics/
tiff
ln -s /usr/home/user-C/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/tiff  /usr/ports/graphics/
tiff
etc.
