But that's the whole point: neither I nor the author of that
article are asking for _more_ functionality, but speed. It simply shouldn't
be in a menu, but in plain sight, because if you have to do more
than slightly move your eyes it's too slow to access.

That reviewer didn't say that the functionality is broken (for example that the \
actual value of the word count is wrong). He complained exactly because it wasn't \
immediately visible.
