Yes is planted to, and it was taken out from StarOffice when StarOffice
transition to OOo. If you REALLY feel you need a native Database
integrated into your office suite for every client. I suggest you to
purchase StarOffice 7 which is always a very good thing for the OOo
community as well as a good alternative to other office suite. Also the
licencing price is the most affordable in the market (cheaper than lotus,
Corel Office, etc).
If you just REALLY need any database you can use the ubra-popular mysql,
postgresql, oracle, or Db2 through ODBC. For more information go to the
