This surely holds. Given all the thousands of flags which affect each
other, a really good driver accessing all the possible ODBC drivers
out there is quite some piece of work. And surely the current ODBC
implementation in OOo is far from beeing perfect.

One more reson (in my opinion) to focus on integrating such
established standards as ODBC, instead of trying to come up with
even more suggestions to the user. Let the user choose what
database to work with, and try to tie this database to OOo as
perfect as possible.
