What was described in 2946 has definitely happened to me before (which 
you can read about in 2910).  These errors are quite widespread and 
happen for a variety of reasons.

Is gcc 3.x used for Linux and Windows builds?  I'm just trying to figure 
out why my Linux 641c and Windows 641c both crash...
