Has anyone done a successful install of OpenNMS on the latest CentOS 7
(7.4)? Host is CentOS 7 minimal install guest VM under VMware Workstation
Pro v14.1.1 build-7528167. I followed the quick start and detailed
instructions for my OS. It fails when I try to start opennms and says I
need to run install -dis. When I run suggested command, it comes back with:
Exception in thread "Main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.slf4j.LoggerFactory

at java.net.FactoryURLClassLoader.loadClass(URLClassLoader.java:814)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:357)
... 7 more

I have reinstalled VM OS and opennms several times now and and I believe I
finally have proper Java and PostgreSQL but opennms fails to start. Proper
JDK had to be downloaded and installed manually with JAVA_HOME and java
path set manually in system profile, like in the early installation of
opennms and other java apps.

I have installed OpenNMS many times over the past 10+ years and have seen
it getting more burdensome to install and maintain. This one has stumped me.

Any help would be appreciated.
