Some variant of this should work...
So, *before* you upgrade:
$ pg_dump --username=opennms --format=c \
--table=nodenxtid --table=node \
--table=assets \
--table=opennmsnxtid --table=ipinterface \
--table=servicenxtid --table=service \
--table=ifservices --table=snmpinterface \
--table=catnxtid --table=categories --table=category_node \
--verbose --file=opennms_nodes.pgsql opennms
$ dropdb --username=opennms opennms
$ createdb --username=opennms opennms
$ sudo /opt/opennms/bin/install -dis
$ pg_restore --user=opennms --dbname=opennms --format=c --verbose opennms_nodes.pgsql
Now, you should be able to uninstall 1.12.5 and reinstall a clean Horizon 16.0.3 \
(note that your version syntax is off a bit) and you'll have your nodes in the DB.
