For SNMP information, the SNMP agent must be activated on your switches using SNMPv1, \
SNMPv2c or SNMPv3. You must then set OpenNMS according to the version of SNMP used, \
so as to collect snmp information. Depending on your windows firewall setting, you \
may need to allow traffic on your chosen port.

Subject: [opennms-install] OpenNMS on windows
Hello all, I’m new to the OpenNMS world and was wondering if I could get some \
assistance. I have been able to install it with no issues. I have discovered all my \
switches, that will be the main use switch monitoring, but I can’t get it to show me \
any kind of syslog or snmp information. I have been looking on the Wiki but there is \
nothing in regards to the windows installation. Can someone help me out? I know what \
I want it to do but not sure how to get there via windows… any and all help would be \
appreciated!! Thanks,JB
