Hello List,
Since below is a lot of detail, my question is:
1. Why opennm became very slow after 1~2 days?
1. How to install opennms 1.6.2 on x64 windows using 64bit java?
--------here is the problem's detail
We want to change our old openview to opennms.
My server: windows2k3 R2 standard x64 Edition, Xeon E5405 2.0G, 4G MEM.
Our env: 700+ node (switch & routers)
I set up a 1.6.2 with jdk1.6.0_07(32bit) and it works as expected. But one
day's later, it becames very very slow for the web UI. So I guess maybe I
need to use the x64 version of java. Then I installed the jdk1.6.0_12(64bit)
and made a fresh install of 1.6.2 again.
The installation failed at last step, it said no jicmp found(I tried rename
the -win64 and copy to the system folder). I tried google for a day, only
found this:http://www.raccoonfink.com/2008/12/twio-2008-12-12.html (I tried
rename the -win64 and copy to the system folder), Benjamin said 1.6.2 should
work for win64?
Since the installation failed, I installed it using 32bit java and try to
start it using 64bit java(rename the -win64):
