Hi Joeri,

in the opennms startup script (should be /etc/init.d/opennms or \
/opt/opennms/bin/opennms) there is a line JAVA_HEAP_SIZE=256
where you can configure the heap size.

But I don't know how to figure out if the program just needs more heap at a certain \
point or if there is a memory leak dependig on your jave version etc. etc.. Maybe it \
just will run for three or four weeks with more heap...

Michael

Hi,

We are running opennms 1.2.9-1 on a SUN solaris2.9 server for 2 weeks now
We compiled it from source, so we could make sure everything was build to
use 64bit, and we can use a 64bit javaVM

Opennms seems to run fine for a week or so, and then it just stops
graphing. All other things keep running, we get notices, interface down
events, ...
Only snmp graphs are not updated and it seems it is not collecting any
smnp information whatsoever (interface response time keeps on graphing)

In collectd.log we see the following as last entry's:

2008-01-26 21:50:12,375 ERROR [CollectdScheduler-50 Pool-fiber13]

How can we fix this, maybe increase Java heap size but i cant find any
info on that on the opennms site.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Joeri
