Hi Tarus,

Sorry for the late response, I almost lost your e-mail amongst all
others and I am dedicated only 2 days a week to OpenNMS matters. Also,
my messages get bounced for some reason.

Here are the answers to what you have asked for: OpenNMS version:
1.2.7 , OS: Suse Enterprise server 9. Studying the eventd.log it
appears the NullPointerException occurs when there are no events
defined for certain traps. We did this to prevent overloading an
administrator with a list of all traps that came in and may contain
unnecessary information.

The next question is: how to define a null event that, when a trap
comes in, is captured (and doesn't leave a NullPointerException message
in the eventd.log) but doesn't show up in the events list of the
OpenNMS interface.

Thank you, Enrique Gonzalez.
