I got it working!  THANKS!

What I wound up doing is removing tomcat6 and installing tomcat5 right 
through the Fedora 6 Add/Remove Software menu.  I don't know if tomcat6 has 
anything to do with it or not????

Then I reconfigured /etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf so that it pointed to the 
correct Java stuff.

I then reran all of the OpenNMS install scripts, but used your command :

$OPENNMS_HOME/bin/install -y -w $CATALINA_HOME/conf/Catalina/localhost

instead and everythings has come together.
