Hmmm...

Something like this (from thresholds.xml)?

        <expression description="tcpRetransmissions" type="high"
            ds-type="if" value="0.1" rearm="0.0" trigger="1"
            ds-label="ifLabel" filterOperator="or" \
expression="tcpRetransSegs/tcpOutSegs*100"/>

If you want a graph for it, too, you just have to define it with a similar \
calculation in snmp-graph.properties.d.

Hi,

I have a question about the 'Performance Management' scope of OpenNMS.

We are able to colllect SNMP counters data, visualize these data (graphed 
only) and trigger alarm on these counter (threshd), it is very good.

But, we wanted to know if is it possible to create KPI based on these data-
collection with OpenNMS.

For example (simple KPI):

I have 2 counters, one specify: 'send packet success' and another 'send 
packet failed'

I wanted to perform a simple calcul to determine percentage rate of sucess / 
failed packet, with this result I want to create an alarm if a threshold is 
reached (threshd), generate report of this KPI, use a dashboard and perform 
agregation of these data.

Anybody already have this requirement ?
Do we have to develop our own KPI engine (from scratch ?) or did you have an 
idea of which tool to used to do this ?
