Sorry to bother you, I had to leave my poblem for a little while and now I'm picking \
it up again. Would you please be so kind to clarify your statement? I'm not familiar \
with snmp. What does it mean using the pass directive? I have my custom OID, the \
associated monitoring is going on, but I'm not able to get the related jrb file. I'm \
sure I'm doing something wrong in data collection. thanks

FYI

I've used the pass directive in snmp and added the custom OIDs to datacollection and \
built the graph definitions, that was all that was needed IIRC

just throwing that out there as it may be a simpler method of doing the same thing

Luca,
I think from what you posted that you're missing the service def at the end of \
poller-configuration.xml. To check that look in the rrd directory tree starting from \
the branch with the node id and see if there is a file with the same name as the \
service definition. If the file is not there then no datacollection is happening and \
you might want to recheck the poller and datacollection configuration.

hth,
Umberto

all.
> I'm trying to extend SNMP in order to monitor a queue. I'm \

very simple:
> ls -1|wc -l
> I named it testcount.sh. Tried it, it \

      </systemDef>
>
> Another question: \
is it the proper system definition?
>
> Still going on. I modified \
snmp-graph.properties creating a new report:
>
> <a \

report.netsnmp.testcount.command=--title="Currently Queued"
> \

Restarted openNMS but I'm not able to have this report under Node-level Performance \
Data.
> I modified capsd-configuration.xml:
>
>
> \
    <protocol-plugin protocol="TESTcount"
> \
class-name="org.opennms.netmgt.capsd.plugins.SnmpPlugin" \
scan="on">
>         \
<property key="vbname"
> \
value=".1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.1.3.2.3.1.1.9.116.101.115.116.99.111.117.110.
> \
