Hi Benjamin,

I understand your point, but since I'm still testing I always remove the
whole directory before installing the new version.

I always install into /opt/OpenNMS en before installing I always do a rm -R
/opt/OpenNMS.

Hi Benjamin, i install OpenNMS not as "should" (I guess)

I always download the snapshot zip, unzip it and run "java -jar
standalone-opennms-installer-1.8.xxxxxxxxxxxx.jar" from the commandline.

Then the gui starts and I follow directions. After that I go to the
installed version and run ./bin/opennms start

Erp, sorry, thought you were doing RPMs.

And in your $OPENNMS_HOME/lib directory, you only have one version of
libraries? 'cause that error you just reported should be fixed in the
snapshot you're running.

Also, if you're on a system using RPM, you should really use the RPM
packages, it's harder to upgrade the zip version since it won't remove old
files that went away. This is especially dangerous if you end up with, say,
opennms-services-1.8.4.jar *and* opennms-services-1.8.5-SNAPSHOT.jar in the
same directory.
