You should still be able to generate a coredump? Or at least get the program 
counter from dmesg. With the program counter, the binary and addr2line of your 
toolchain you should be able to see where it was crashing, with a coredump, 
your binary and gdb-cross running on your host you should be able to have a 
nice backtrace too.
