Subject: [OGo-Users] Interesting problem with LDAP authentication...

Hi,

I am using OGo with openldap for authentication and it seem to be
working great, but I think I may have encountered a small problem to do
with case sensitivity on usernames.

If I log in to the WebUI as 'Mike' (emphasis on captial 'M') a new
skyrix user called 'Mike' (see log snippet #1) despite the fact that a
skyrix user 'mike' already exists a log snippet #2 shows.

I beleive this may be a 'bug' as it creates duplicate users and it is
impossible to tell which is which is which, and appears messy for the
users.

I have also done the obligatory mailing list archive search to see if
this has been covered before.

This install is from rpms a week or so ago.

I'm checking the source out to have a nosey through to see if it's
simple to add some case insensitivity to the initial log in process, but
if anyone can find a solution quicker, please let me know (I have no
knowledge of objective C, only C!)

Many thanks,

Mike Stuart.
