--- Comment #3 from Helge Deller <deller at gmx.de> 2007-12-26 05:23:12 ---
This doesn't seem to be a kernel problem. Tested on Angstrom 2007.12 RC2.2 with
kernel 2.6.17:

root at poodle:/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl$ uname -a
Linux poodle 2.6.17 #1 PREEMPT Mon Dec 17 07:48:55 CET 2007 armv5tel unknown

root at poodle:/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl$ grep ""
/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl/*
/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl/actual_brightness:3
/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl/brightness:3
/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl/max_brightness:4
/sys/class/backlight/locomo-bl/power:0

If I "echo _some_value_ > brightness" with _some_value = 0..4, the kernel
driver seems to work fine.

So, it's probably a problem in the "minilite" program.
