Summary: sd-card is not correctly recognized by kernel
           Product: Zaurus Kernel
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: C3xxx
        AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
        ReportedBy: hans.ullrich at loop.de
         QAContact: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org

Dear maintainers,

in akita (and collie, too), the sd-cards are not correctly recognized. So it is
not possible to use them. The tested sd-cards are 1GB and manufacturers are
from Scandisk and Kingston.

Even if booting without sd-card it is not possible to put them in and format
(telling better: formatting works sometimes) An e2fsck with an unmounted
sd-card let the system crash (hang).

It is reported , that some sd-cards are working with the kernel.

ALL sd-cards are working perfectly with openzaurus (and its kernel).

The tested devices were SL-5500 with the angstrom-image (console) and SL-C1000
with both kernels (zimage20603* and zimage20605*) and with both Angstrom images
(Angstrom-*-rootfs.jffs and Angstrom-*-root.summary.jffs).

Thank you for your attention !

Best regards

Hans
