Unfortunately I did not find the cause and I'm unable to reproduce the 
bug with bitbake 1.4.1 and a fresh OE database update, MACHINE="tosa", 
DISTRO="openzaurus-unstable". To double-check I tried:

1. cd build && rm -rf tmp/ && bitbake libtool-native
2. cd build && rm -rf tmp/ && bitbake opie-image

The both command compiled libtool-native without problem. So I guess the 
solution is to update to bitbake 1.4 and update the OE database. Maybe 
this bug only exist for bitbake 1.3.2.1 and below ?
