Hi, I've been having a Heck of a time getting my i810e video chipset to run
on the SnapShot or 2.8
I'm using XFree86 4.0.3 under the snapshot. The kernel boots with messages
about the chipset being
recognised but not configured.

pcibios0: PCI bus #1 is the last bus
pci0 at mainbus0 bus 0: configuration mode 1 (no bios)
pchb0 at pci0 dev 0 function 0 "Intel 82810E" rev 0x03: rng active, 9Kb/sec
"Intel 82810E Graphics" rev 0x03 at pci0 dev 1 function 0 not configured
ppb0 at pci0 dev 30 function 0 "Intel 82801AA Hub-to-PCI" rev 0x02
pci1 at ppb0 bus 1

I figured this was a kernel issue so I looked through all the options
recompiled 4 times but to-no avail. People on comp.windows.x are reporting
that i810e works on netbsd.
I know the 2 bodies are very different and I apreciate why (way to go crypto
and security!). There also
are notes in the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/doc/README.i810 about some kernel
package you need for Linux to
be able to use i810e chipset. Is there any KEEP-IT-SIMPLE-STUPID howto on
this issue with OpenBSD?

N?
