	Key Achievements

  Personally resolved several nagging technical problems that had been causing engine \
damage and ballooning warranty claims costs.  Designed the technical engine control \
changes that were implemented in the company's manufacturing operations worldwide. \
Provided ongoing training in quality and production processes.

  Introduced outsourced work as an additional revenue stream, creating a $75,000 \
budget surplus for a lab that had operated with diminishing finance as a captive \
provider of services

  Worked effectively to complete projects despite the uncertainty of budgets \
determined by the contributions of member companies that rarely agreed with one \
another on issues of necessity and priority.  Saved $100,000 annually by improving \
test procedure productivity.

  Managed two labs to ensure vehicle emission compliance in engine dynamometer tests \
with both government and company standards.  Supervised a staff of 50 engineers and \
technicians.  Designed engineering test and process control systems.  Controlled \
operating and capital budgets.

  Conducted and audited engineering studies and statistical analyses for a consortium \
of chemical product producer member companies.  Evaluated both test standards and \
testing systems.

  Successfully persuaded the technical management of member companies to initiate \
necessary lab operations improvements, even though I lacked authorization to mandate \
such changes.

  Guided member company lab management through technical and organizational upgrades \
to comply with ASTM product quality reporting standards.
