Thanks for the offer of help with the B&W G3.

Amusing enough I've not had the problem of MBR installs not booting.

I've installed 4.2 on a B&W G3, a Lombard (both with network problems), a Pismo
(no network problems, dmesg below), and the already reported G4 powerbook (a 667
I believe with gigabit ethernet).  I think, though I'm not 100% sure, that I \
installed 4.2 on a toilet seat ibook as well.  In all cases cases the MBR booting \
worked just fine.
