The problem is that fdisk does not deal with LBA disks properly.

The MBR disklabel is fine, however when editing the paritions with disklabel
issues the command 'b' to change the bounds, and use '*' as the Size.
this will allow the rest of the disk to be partitioned as expected.

This should be in the FAQ somewhere, the same is necessary for i386.
