That seems pretty close to what I did when doing a similar install.  I
wasn't able to get the two systems to agree on the disk geometry, but
everything seems to have worked out OK (both partitions are over 80%
full and they're both still bootable, which implies that there isn't any
overlap).

Basically, install FreeBSD and make sure you create an OpenBSD partition
first, followed by a FreeBSD partition.  Finish the FreeBSD install.
Then boot the OpenBSD installer, exit from fdisk without making changes,
and make the slices you want.  Make sure that OpenBSD does not install a
MBR boot loader.
