Hello Flinn,

I never used ddial mode but in your previous email was listing of your
ppp.conf script.
I pasted it here :

>default:
># The default section of ppp.conf contains
># some simple global options.
>set log Phase Chat LCP IPCP CCP tun command
>set device /dev/tty03

should be /dev/cua03, of course

># Tells ppp the modem is connected to tty00 (com1)
>set speed 115200
># Modem's maximum connection baud is 38400

'set dial .....' ommited

>myisp:
># This section contains values specific
># to the connection you're
>using.
>set phone 01414

do you manualy dial the below number (967...) ???

># Dial 96724222 to connect.
>set login

instead of 'set login' use 'accept pap' because this
two lines:

>set authname flinn
>set authkey hh093x
># Login using pap/chap as myusername/mypassword
>add default HISADDR
># Set the upstream machine as the defaultroute

there is no 'set ifaddr ....' and 'enable dns'.
and one more note : before command in line must be space.

I attache my own ppp.conf - active entry is default+tpsa.
I use it only as ppp -background tpsa.
I hope it help you and I think you should use ppp.conf.sample.

I am now too sleepy to think more, I am going to bed. bye
