Hi,

When I change the passphase of a softraid volume, (through bioctl(8) -P)
the bootloader doesn't automatically select the correct volume. I tried
this on two machines; one that runs 6.8-release, one that runs
6.8-current. Both had the same error.

I was able to boot from the machine that runs 6.8-current by telling the
bootloader to boot from the corrent volume, which was sr0a:/bsd (it was
trying hd0, IIRC). On the other machine, though, it wasn't booting and
I think it was panicing. Sadly, though, I don't have any logs or
pictures of it, sorry for that.

The workaround to fix this is, to use installboot(8) on the machines,
then everything works perfectly fine again.

Sincerely,
vejetaryenvampir
