My ancient Pentium laptop currently has 4.7-release installed.

A couple days ago I tried to install the July 26th snapshot of
current without success. When I boot from the install.iso CD-R
media I get most of the way through the boot sequence and then
suddenly the machine resets and begins to boot all over again.
This continues endlessly until I remove the CD media.

I tried again today with the July 28th snapshot of current and
got the same behavior. I don't believe I have any hardware
problems as the OpenBSD 4.7 installation on the hard drive
boots normally and I can pass MemTest86+ memory diagnostics.

I hooked up a null-modem RS232 cable between the laptop and
another machine to try to capture the boot messages before the
laptop resets. I've set the baud rate to 115200 on both ends.

To provide an apples-to-apples comparison I booted the machine
from an official 4.7 release CD. Here's the captured results:

There's no further serial data output and about 1 second later
the laptop resets and I see the BIOS splash screen come up.

A diff between these two output files isn't very helpful:

The only thing else I can think of to send along at this
point is a dmesg file from the hard-drive installed 4.7
release after its normal boot. So here's that output:
