You're right, I looked at Slack's sources, this file is added by
Patrick for all WM included in Slackware. It's easy to copy one of them
and just change the wm's name.

Again I looked the sources... This one is not Slackware specific, it's
a part of the official KDEbase distribution. For instance kdm seems to
use is own wm.desktop files in /usr/share/apps/kdm. There is an
openbox.desktop file, wich is internationalized, but just launches
openbox not openbox-session. I think the better is to make a modified
copy ot this file, and to save it as "openbox-session.desktop" to keep
the package non intrusive.
It would be interesting to see how kdm manage openbox in other
distros. I have Ubuntu in a VM, will have a look.

Yes you're right, I've mis-understood its behaviour.
